Unit 4
Topic: Restrictions for guests who are minors and restrictions for employees ages 18-20.

Unit 7

- How to deny service to a VIP
- Strategies for House Policies that will help reduce problems from Alcohol service.

Unit 8
Topic: Checking IDS.
Information to be covered in this unit:
- Guests must appear to look 26 years of age or older,
- What are the 5 acceptable forms of identification?
- Stand alone ID versus Alternative ID
- What must a ID have on it to be legal?
- The use of the Statement of age Card
- The different Drivers License and Identification cards in Oregon.
- Things to look for on a suspect ID
- Denying service to a minor.
The goals of the AACEA ASE course are to teach students that they can have a positive influence on their guests while promoting responsible alcohol consumption which in turn will:
- Reduce the number of drunk drivers
- Reduce illegal alcohol sales to minors
- Reduce alcohol abuse
- Promote responsible consumption
- Provide information to servers to protect them from third party liability lawsuits
- Educate licensees and servers about Oregon liquor laws.
